Pharmaceutical Warehouse

Warehouse
Ware house is the department where the raw and packaging materials are store which comes from the supplier, dispensed in the production area and finished products are deliver through this area.

Divisions of Warehouse
Warehouse is divided into three branches:
1) Raw Materials Store (RMS)
2) Packaging Materials Store (PMS)
3) Finished Goods Store (FGS)

Functions of Warehouse
⇨ Storage of raw & packaging materials
⇨ Protection of materials/products from loss or damage.
⇨ Temporary storage of finished product before going to central depot.
⇨ Storage of rejected materials before disposals.

RM Store
RM Store means Raw Material Store where pharmaceutical raw materials are stored which comes from the supplier,  then dispensed in the production area.

PM Store
PM store means Packaging Material Store where pharmaceutical packaging materials are stored which comes from supplier then dispensex in the production area.

FP Store
FP Store means Finished Product store where pharmaceutical finished products are stored which comes from production area after completing final packaging of the product then dispensed in the central depot or market.

FIFO
FIFO means First In First Out, A distribution procedure to ensure that the oldest stock is distributed and/or used before a newer and identical stock item is distributed and/or used.

FEFO
FEFO means First Expiry First Out, A distribution procedure to ensures that the stock with the earliest expiry date is distributed and/or used before an identical stock item with a later expiry date.

LIFO
LIFO means Last In First Out, A distribution procedure to ensure that the newer stock is distributed and/or used before a oldest and identical stock item is distributed and/or used.
